The KAEGE RETRO® TARGA is an interpretation of the classic F model on the technical basis of a 993 Cabrio. The Targa has always been the ultimate for those who wanted to feel the wind and sun as well as the road. As the stylish one among the nostalgic ones, it is also based on the fascinating KAEGE RETRO® principle, just like its series-production brothers CLASSIC and TURBO – namely the masterly combination of the design language of classic F-models with the most modern air-cooled Porsche technology from the 993 Cabrio. State-of-the-art components made of carbon, six-speed transmission and of course the obligatory bow including a polycarbonate glass roof as hardtop, as well as with an easily removable vinyl roof as softtop, provide the ultimate performance and the incomparable Targa look.

Beyond the grace of the KAEGE RETRO®, we have put our heart and soul into the details: Chrome trim, bumpers, lights as well as tank and oil caps provide nostalgic perfection - even when looking very closely.
A lightweight beauty.
By using carbon components, we have not only added modern components to the authentic effect, but also achieved a weight saving of over 100 kilograms compared with the original 993. Contemporary lightweight construction that is highly noticeable in vehicle handling and consumption.

The KAEGE RETRO® TARGA features a foldable original vinyl top (soft top) and a high-tech glass roof (hard top), made of extremely light and highly stable carbon (CFRP) for the frame, Makrolon with glass hard anti-scratch coating on both sides, stainless steel fasteners with Teflon bushings and modern EPDM seals.

No compromises in appearance, but as modern, safe and powerful as possible. This also applies to tires and rims. Here - as with many other features - we are open to your wishes. On the TARGA, we use a three-piece wheel in a classic design in size 17 inches as standard.
Sound and performance.
The custom exhaust system is one of the selected things where we decided to redesign and against the original. The sound, appearance and performance characteristics prove us right.

03 —— ENGINE/TECHNICS
AIR-COOLED.IN PERFECTION.
The KAEGE RETRO® TARGA is equipped with a completely overhauled engine from the 993 – and thus with the best air-cooled series technology ever built in the Swabian region. Finely disassembled, inspected, finely balanced and reassembled, the unit appears extremely refined, smooth-running and stable. Through careful fine-tuning, we have been able to increase the output from 3.6 liters of displacement with 286 hp (standard) to 3.8 liters of displacement with 300 hp. Classic 911 feeling. Thanks to the installed hydro tappets, the RETRO requires very little maintenance – and thanks to its OBD capability, it can be easily handled by any Porsche workshop.

Consistent KW.
It is a matter of honor that we also install the proven and for us exclusively tuned KW suspensions in the KAEGE RETRO® TARGA. Comfort, damping behavior and sportiness are unsurpassed with the suspensions of this manufacturer.
Quite the 993.
As with the six-cylinder unit, we made few changes to the 993's six-speed transmission. Although it has been overhauled and tested for heart and sprocket: Some things are just good as they are.
Value investment.
The same applies to the brake system. It has been reconditioned from the 993 and has lost none of its value for a sporty and safe driving experience.

In the days of the F-model still a dream of the future, now rightly an undisputed safety standard. Authenticity must not come at the expense of safety - which is why the KAEGE RETRO® is naturally equipped with airbags. Hopefully, you will neither notice nor need it.

COLOR
In the end, it's up to you to decide which color your Retro will shine in. As purists, however, we naturally advise modern paints in shades that were at some point a classic Porsche color.
CHROME PACKAGE
Tank cap, oil cap, various parts such as door locks, catch rakes, tank strap chromed in retro style. Hinges of the front and rear hood made of highly polished aluminum in retro style.
WHEELS
Here – as with many other features - we are open to your wishes. On the TARGA, we use a three-piece wheel in the classic Fuchs design as standard.

The RETRO LED headlights from our own production blend flawlessly into the visual look. Choose between chrome, carbon or black housing.
